South Africa is perfect “Shutter” country.  Luminos has sourced the best quality shutter blinds from reputable manufacturers around the world.  The classic wood shutter, is no longer the only choice that is available to you.  A beautiful PVC shutter with an aluminium skeleton together with a full aluminium shutter, ideal for internal or external use, complete the trio of offerings in this collection.  Available in almost any colour you can imagine, the wood and pvc shutters blend in or contrast as you wish.  The aluminium shutter, while not sold as a security product does have a lock and is a little more secure than our other two offerings.  A range of beautiful architraves are available should you want to highlight your shutter.

Aluminium Shutters are manufactured to the highest quality and standards with chip resistant powder coated aluminium. The shutters are steam, heat and moisture resistant and are available for interior and exterior usage. Luminos Aluminium Shutters are currently available in a white and natural silver colour and have three system options with the secret tilt function coming standard on the panels. The shutter also has a top and bottom bolt locking set which can be used for additional protection. It is a beautiful decoration with strong security features.

Wooden Shutters are manufactured to the highest quality and standards with a variety of colours and grain finishes to choose from. The shutters are available in different systems with customisation which you will only find from Luminos. The Phoenix Wood (also known as Kiri Wood or “the Wood of the Future”) is used in the manufacture of our wooden shutters. It is light in weight and colour, yet it is strong, dries easily, has a beautiful grain finish and does not warp, crack or deform easily. Phoenix Wood has a natural resistance to wood borer and also adapts easily to a wide range of temperatures. Phoenix Wood has an excellent internal and external cladding for energy efficient homes.
